Hello!
I am a highly-driven, mission-minded leader with a proven track record in planning, supporting, and coordinating various educational projects and initiatives. I have in-depth experience in training, developing, and coaching pre-service, novice, experienced, and veteran teachers.
In addition to 10+ years of classroom teaching experience, I’ve had the unique and diverse experiences of serving as a Mentor Program Facilitator in a large urban school district, an Assistant Principal at a school that specializes in helping students who are behind get caught up, and as the very first principal of a brand-new school. Currently, I am the Director of master’s certification programs for teachers at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. These experiences have given me a broad perspective on teaching & learning, and effective school leadership.
My dissertation research centered around school principal behaviors and their impact on collective teacher efficacy. In my work with new and aspiring school leaders, I help them to develop a personal vision for leadership and learn how to put that vision into action. I also offer professional development workshops on a variety of topics related to leadership, instructional coaching, and teacher development.
Additionally, I specialize in facilitating high-quality, engaging professional development for teachers that leads to real classroom implementation that positively impacts student achievement. I have a passion for helping educators grow in their craft so that they can make a positive difference in the lives of their students.
I strongly believe in the power of collaboration and I enjoy bringing resources, perspectives, and data together in order to build consensus and maximize a team’s effectiveness. I would be honored to put my skills and experience in facilitating productive collaboration to work for you and your district.
As a dedicated professional committed to excellence in education, I would love to connect with, serve and collaborate with you as we empower educators everywhere! I look forward to connecting with you soon.
